Incremental Capacity

The incremental process comprises several phases, each with specific requirements that must be met before an incremental project can be initiated and new capacity developed.

This process takes place at least every odd-numbered year and begins with the demand assessment phase. This phase starts with a market demand assessment conducted by the Transmission System Operators following the annual yearly capacity auction. GMO NI will administer this stage on behalf of Premier Transmission Limited for the Moffat Interconnection Point and on behalf of GNI(UK) Limited for the South North Interconnection Point.

In accordance with section 4.2 of the NI Network Gas Transmission Code, Shippers are invited to submit Non-Binding Demand Indications (NBDIs) for Incremental Capacity using the template provided below. The template also outlines the applicable submission fees.

To date, no NBDIs have been received for either Interconnection Point during previous application windows. For further information, please refer to the relevant Market Demand Assessment Report.

Technical Capacity Register

The Technical Capacity Register provides details of the technical capacity available at Entry and Exit Points across the Northern Ireland gas transmission network, taking account of operational, system integrity and contractual requirements.

NDM Forecast Accuracy Report

GMO NI publishes the NDM Forecast Accuracy Report on behalf of Premier Transmission Limited. The report assesses the accuracy of forecasts for Non-Daily Metered (NDM) gas demand and supports transparency in the operation and balancing of the Northern Ireland gas transmission network.

The report is produced in accordance with applicable gas balancing requirements and is prepared using forecast information provided by Northern Ireland’s gas distribution network operators.

CAM NC Auction Calendars

The CAM NC Auction Calendar sets out the timetable for entry capacity auctions conducted in accordance with the Capacity Allocation Mechanisms (CAM) framework.
